There is no evidence that spending more money makes people happy. Studies show that we have a tendency to adapt to what we get, despite the fact that investing in durable goods appears to be a wise decision. These possessions do not continue to bring unending happiness.
When we invest our money in experiences that will leave us with cherished memories, we increase our chances of long-term happiness. Be sure to create experiences rather than purchasing things that will simply fade away over time, whether this means going on vacation by yourself or with your family or making time to do something fun every now and then.
