We all wish we had more stamina, stronger abs, and better focus. In a similar vein, there are times when we wish we had better hair or skin. We wish we could get a better night's sleep and that getting up would be a little bit easier.
This has resulted in the development of numerous industries aimed at improving our performance, appearance, and feelings. We spend a lot of money on gym memberships, sleep aids, and skincare products. We try all sorts of crazy things, like sleeping on a bed with small spikes to help us sleep (yes, that actually exists!), wearing energy-healing crystals or wearing blue-blocking shades all day.
